The Vineyard Race is a 238-nm race from Stamford, CT, through the Race or Plum Gut, past Block Island, around the tower at the entrance to Buzzards Bay, and back. Plus, two shorter courses within Long Island Sound allow shorter options. This year’s race started in a heavy Easterly, creating a lumpy Western Long Island Sound and a long, bumpy, wet upwind leg for competing teams. View the photos.
